Simi Samra

Pre-Doctoral Intern

Greetings! My name is Simi Samra and I am a doctoral student at the California Institute of Integral Studies. Mental health is my passion, and I am determined to make quality mental health care accessible to all that need it. For over eight years, I have had the privilege of working with individuals and families in low-income and underserved communities. I have been dedicated to helping people navigate trauma, emotional challenges, and the mental health impact of everyday life stressors.

I believe therapy is a sacred, transformative, and restorative process. A process that is as unique as the person engaging in it. Each of us carries our own story, challenges, and inner battles, but also our own strengths, resilience, and capacity for healing. My therapeutic approach is rooted in psychodynamic and relational therapy. I strive to offer a safe, non-judgmental, and collaborative space where we can explore your thoughts, emotions, relationships, and life experiences with compassion, curiosity, care, and empathy.

I work with adolescents, teens, adults, couples, and families, and am committed to supporting clients across the lifespan. Whether you are dealing with anxiety, depression, relational difficulties, or the lingering effects of trauma, I am here to walk alongside you. My goal is to help you build awareness of your inner world, regulate overwhelming emotions, and understand how your past shapes your present. Together, we will work toward creating healthier and more meaningful relationships, especially the one you have with yourself.
