Eduardo Garza, MD

Board-Certified in Family Medicine and Psychiatry

Clinical Staff Member
In-Person & Video Sessions

Dr. Eduardo Garza is a board-certified physician in both family medicine and psychiatry, bringing a holistic, comprehensive approach to patient care that incorporates both the body and mind. He earned his medical degree from The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and completed his dual residency at Boston Medical Center. Dr. Garza believes healing rarely fits into one box, so he draws on a thoughtful blend of behavioral, cognitive, and pharmacologic approaches tailored to each patient’s story. His dual training gives him a special gift for caring for people facing overlapping medical and psychiatric challenges such as pain, chronic illness, perinatal health, developmental disabilities, and aging. For select patients with certain health needs located within San Francisco, he is able to offer home visits, bringing thoughtful, personalized care beyond the traditional office setting.

Dr. Garza is warm, gregarious, and deeply curious about the people he cares for. He believes real healing begins when patients feel safe enough to be fully themselves and explore what’s going on beneath the surface, without fear of judgment. Growing up between Mexico and Texas, he is fluent in Spanish and brings genuine cultural warmth and curiosity, as he has first-hand experience growing up between two cultures. As a gay, gender-nonconforming physician, he understands the importance of creating a space where patients of every background and identity feel welcomed and understood. Outside the clinic, you’ll likely find him on a yoga mat, wandering through an art museum, watching a good movie, trying new foods, singing at your local karaoke bar, or soaking up a different culture on his travels
