Tjuana Smylie, PsyD
Pre-Doctoral and Post-Doctoral Interns
My name is Tjuana Smylie. I am a psychological assistant at BTI. I enjoy community psychology which incorporates a wide variety of clients that we can meet at BTI. I provide a warm and welcome environment that allows those present to learn, heal and grow. I have completed the state of California’s 40 hour mandatory training to work with survivors of domestic violence. I also work with couples, client’s experiencing anxiety, depression, chronic illnesses, as well as other diagnosis and normal life changes. I am currently not running a group, but if I see a need in the community I am open to joining others together to foster a supporting environment. I am a doctoral candidate at Saybrook University, Pasadena, CA. Saybrook University uses and teaches Humanistic theories to bring about positive change in communities we serve. My supervisors are Dr. Hilary Goldstine and Dr. Claramarie Collins.
